Annoucement: Happy birthday Manny Ortiz. This also happens to be the two year anniversary of chucksports. After two years, still going strong.
There is some concern that a relocation to New York may ruin chucksports. Not true. Chuck is stronger than ever.

How are these primary teams selected? There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to it, beyond some sort of East Coast bias. Danny Tartabull and Tom Gordon as Yankees? Bret Saberhagen as a Met? Weird.

kneikirk, I don't think you cheat (now). There, I said it. I also guessed Sosa. FYI, I'm chuck's brother, and this site started as something we used to play in our living room while watching sports with the ESPN Almanac in hand. Most of the "regulars" are through word of mouth, and we could verify they didn't cheat, because we could ask them. For example, we/I thought The_U cheated just because he knew more than us, but he's a friend's brother, and we asked him. I've looked at your game history, and you are either a moron cheater (based on Correct %) or you know a lot about sports. FWIW, I think it's the latter. Having said that, some of your initial times in the GOTD and 7 for 7 in HOU NFL first round picks were fishy, but whatever. IMHO, you make the Chuck community better (def more interesting), and it was only in the interest of the community that Chuck did what he did with the leaderboard. I would welcome you back to the GOTD leaderboard, but it wouldn't really affect me, cuz I haven't sniffed that in months :). Cheers.

... that you losers don't have anything better to do than check in on me. Even reverent Chuck, who in his infinite wisdom "banned" me from all my GOTD wins (notwithstanding the true, flagrant cheating going on by others), gets in on the act. Awesome!
Re: Sosa, what can I say - he's on my "standard" list of Cubs answers. I suppose it's perfectly normal for manny_ortiz to have a list like that, but for me it shows ignorance (or whatever your point is).
In reality, auto-guesses like that (and my knowledge of sports) are probably at the root of my dominance over the rest of you lemmings in games like the GOTD. The_doUche and others would rather chalk it up to "cheating" and whine and bitch about it when they lose. Like I give a f*ck. I can go on beating you all, with or without your points and "wins" to validate me (unlike The_U, clearly).
And I thought the Gauntlet was implemented to thin out the cheaters, and my solid performances there would serve to allay some of your accusations ... good to know that your witch hunt still has (selectively used) legs, empirical evidence to the contrary notwithstanding.

"Standard" list

You're playing a GOTD, an MLB game, you need an answer, and you see a team. Let's say COL. And you have a "standard" list of players that you always guess... (sometimes even when you KNOW one isn't an answer). For example, my COL list is Burks, Helton, Galaragga, Bichette, Walker, and one more that is an answer to today's GOTD. Anyone else feel like sharing a standard list? I'll share mine for any MLB team (they're not that long unfortunately).
